Loess Fest is an actual event held in Council Bluffs across the river from Omaha. It’s been cancelled the last two years because of flooding, though.
Kidd Video is a TV show from the 1980s centered around a fictional band of the same name being sucked into a strange cartoon world based on 80s music videos. They did, in fact, feature Robbie Rist (AKA Cousin Oliver from the Brady Bunch) in their lineup.
